Soundwaves 2.15

Soundwaves 2.15 has been released on the App Store and Mac App Store.

There’s a new option in the server configuration: when you browse your collection, you can decide whether to show tracks always in the order returned by the server or to sort them alphabetically when a folder contains more than one album.

On iOS, CarPlay support has been modernized for iOS 14+. Also, Internet radio stations are now available in CarPlay too.

On macOS, when you close Soundwaves’ window, it won’t quit: it’ll keep stay hidden and keep on playing. Use Cmd Q to quit.

Soundwaves 2.13

Soundwaves 2.13 is now available on the App Store and Mac App Store.

This release replaces Apple’s FLAC decoder, since it started giving some problems on recent iOS versions. And while at it, new decoders for Opus and Ogg Vorbis formats have been implemented as well. If you have tracks in those formats, you can now stream them as-is, instead of having to transcode them on your server. 🙂

Soundwaves 2.12 (iOS)

Soundwaves 2.12 is now available on the App Store.

This release contains some fixes to improve AirPlay support. Also, it prepares to support App Tracking Transparency, so it’s ready when Apple decides to switch it on. Please note that Soundwaves performs tracking and data collection only as long as you decide to keep using it freely, with ads. There’s an in-app purchase to remove ads which also stops any tracking.
